100 year celebration

We celebrated 100 years of service to Tasmanians and we'll continue this legacy for many years to come.

In a place like Tasmania, there’s no telling how much a few people can achieve. A few small acts, driven by passionate people. We started this way over one hundred years ago and we continue this legacy today.

Since our earliest days, our efforts have always been focused on improving the lives of our members. To commemorate turning 100, we launched a new campaign, celebrating our milestones and how we always have, and always will be there for Tasmania. Watch below some of the real stories captured from across our journey.

100 Years of Service

To celebrate 100 years of being Tasmania's shoulder to lean on, we commissioned Tasmanian-based historian and author, Nick Brodie to write a limited-edition book - RACT 100 Years of Service.

A special partnership

We partnered with family owned and run Hunnington Distillery in Kettering to produce a special centenary, limited edition Tasmanian whisky and gin duo.

Our club run

We began as a car club, and we’re proud to recognise the vital role that you've played in preserving our automobile roots. Paying homage to our car enthusiasts, our centenary year concluded with the recreation of our first club run.

Formed by members, for members, our story is your story. Starting with 70 members in 1923, we’ve grown to represent over 210,000 Tasmanians today. But while that’s an impressive number, what's important to us is ensuring that we're there when you need us most. Our history shows that in times of need, Tasmanians – like no other – come together and achieve extraordinary things. That’s the story of RACT, a team of Tasmanians making our state a better place for us all. Watch below how we celebrated with our community throughout out 100th year.

Then. Now. Tomorrow. We’re your RACT.
