We’ve been undertaking a review of our pricing and discount policies and processes and have discovered some customers haven’t received a discount or refund they were entitled to or may have thought they were entitled to. We’ll be contacting existing and past members who have been identified as eligible for a refund to make good on our promises.
About the Pricing Promises Review
ASIC called on general insurers to review their pricing systems and controls. As a member-focused organisation, we take our obligations and responsibilities seriously. We have completed a review and identified some members who didn't receive the discount or refund they were entitled to or may have thought they were entitled to.
We apologise for this regrettable error which falls outside of our usual high standards and values.
Making things right
Our review has highlighted a need for improvement across our systems and processes. To address this, we’ve established a dedicated team to rectify any issues we’ve found. We’ve also made some changes to our products. These changes are designed to provide a clearer and simpler approach to discounts and surcharges.
