Spring into fun with the kids

Running out of ideas to keep the kids busy during the school holidays? We get it, so whether you want to get out and about or you're staying at home we've got activities that the family will love (and savings that you'll love).

If you've already planned a family trip interstate, make the most of extra savings on some iconic activities.

Heading west? Enjoy savings on your visit to Rottnest Island where you can enjoy the white sandy beaches, secluded coves and meet the insta-famous Quokkas.

Or heading to our neighbour, Victoria? There's plenty on offer including tours of Phillip Island where you can visit the Little Penguins or if you're staying in the city the kids can enjoy Legoland and Sea Life Aquarium or enjoy the view from the Southern Hemisphere's highest viewing platform at the Skydeck.

We know that Tasmanians love a trip to Queensland especially for the kids to visit the theme parks, so don't miss out on savings at Dreamworld, Movie World, Sea World and Wet 'n' Wild. Or if you're looking for something different head to the Sunshine Coast for plenty of thrill-seeking adventures.

If you're headed elsewhere in Australia or even heading to New Zealand don't forget to check if there are any experiences or activities you can save on whilst you enjoy your holidays.

Whilst getting on a plane and escaping for a bit is a great school holiday experience sometimes it's nice to have a staycation in our home state.

If you're staying in Tassie you can also save on some of our favourite local activities like Bonorong Wildlife Park, Port Arthur Historic Site and Cascades Female Factory Site.

Or you can make your own adventures in one of our many national parks around the state. If your kids aren't so much into hiking why not try Hyperdrive Kart Racing in the South or LexFun in the North for something a little different.

Want to stay at home and save some cash? Or maybe you've been forced to due to our sometimes unpredictable weather. That's ok, we've got the perfect indoor treat for your young kids to keep them occupied.

Get the colouring pencils and the safety scissors out and let the kids create their own Roadside journey with our colouring in packs and vehicle cutouts.

Check out our own Scooby Doo inspired version below.

If you're looking for low cost or free activities to keep the kids entertained don't forget to check out our local museums.

Several museums around the state that offer free entry including TMAG, QVMAG and Waddamanna Power Station Heritage Site.

Some of our local museums that charge an entry fee include MONA, West Coast Heritage Centre, National Automobile Museum of Tasmania, Tasmanian Transport Museum, Mawson's Hut Replica Museum, Pooseum and Stanley Discovery Museum.

Whether you've got some spare cash to splash or you're looking for those budget friendly ideas, there's plenty on offer in Tassie and beyond to help you create long lasting memories with the kids these school holidays.
